Problems with HTML images sent to email

I ran several tests using an image with absolute path. Inside the intranet works perfectly, but in extranet (GMAIL / OUTLOOK) it does not work at all. Can anyone help?

Check where you are going to get the images. If these images are available externally ...

The images to be accessible must be in some place available on the internet. example: ftp ...
