I have the following situation, I have several sites with different layouts and database, but I wanted them to use the same administrative area, the same gems, because if I need to fix a bug in the administrative area or update a gem I would update in one place and it would automatically be worth to the other sites, how could I build this.

Friend, I believe you have to use engines: link

They are a kind of plugin, but more powerful. You can create drivers and screens in the engine and then import into your application as a plugin.
