Let's Encrypts Is it possible to certify IPs?

4

I have a local server running some php applications, and some running in virtual environment hosts, all accessing via https , but now the company wants to make the intranet available via ip for external access, but they do not want to register a domain for I have read the documentation and I can not find a solution, but in some forums I found reports of people who have managed it, but without a tutorial.

Has anyone been able to certify Let's Encrypt to public ips? as I mentioned I am without money even for a domain, how much for a ssl. Or is there another form of free certificates?

Here's my scenario:

Servidor Linux: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS X64
2TB de HD
16 GB Ram
2MB link dedicado

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to certify on ip, only by domain, this information can be found on the Let's Encrypt website and in the site in this link

But according to the documentation there is a study and are under test, let's wait.
