My Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone restarts when I'm in the middle of a call [closed]

For more than a month now, my Galaxie S5 smartphone automatically switches off when I'm in the middle of a call and restarts. This happens about three times a day and I imagine it's a wrong setup. I already searched but nothing I found wrong. However, my computer knowledge is not a big deal, either. I am avoiding taking technical assistance because I depend on it for my work. Is it possible that this could be a configuration problem? Or a defect? Or is it most likely a virus? Thanks for any assistance.

There is no type of setting (right or wrong) that could cause your smartphone to restart itself, especially without asking you first.

Here are some of the likely reasons:

  • Virus: If your smartphone is infected this could be a cause. In this case download anti-virus applications like Avast for example and make a complete scan.
  • System Errors: For some reason your android is corrupted and running a given command generates a fatal error that causes the reboot. In this case the solution would be to restore the factory installation, preferably using Kies.
  • Hardware problem: Failures or overheating of electronic components may also cause the device to restart spontaneously. On computers for example, if the processor overheats the system it restarts immediately, and depending on the heating level, the processor gets permanently damaged and starts to reboot whenever it reaches a certain temperature, even if the cooling problem has been remedied. In this case the solution is to take to the authorized service center to make a diagnosis of your device.
