Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' functions.php line 1 [closed]

I have a wordpress installation running on another server and locally, however, when I went up to another host I received the following error:

  

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in   /home/khoru270/public_html/wp-content/themes/u-design/functions.php on   line 1

I have checked several times and can not find where this key would be. And as I said it is working in two other places.

After almost going crazy I discovered the problem. It looks like Filezilla was corrupting the file.

In the filezilla I went to edit > settings > downloads > file types > and switch from automatic to binary. I restarted filezilla and uploaded the file again.
