Visual Studio 2010 Professional that you have in Add-> New Project- > Other Project Types does not display Visual Studio Solutions.
I saw several posts on the internet indicating the following steps to solve the problem:
Tools - > Options - > Projects and Solution check the options: Shown Advanced build Configuration and Always show solution.
In my case all the options are checked and will not appear.
