The carousel of Bootstrap works with horizontal photos. How do I rotate photos taken with the inverted machine, that is, vertical.

I think the options you want are not configurable in the bootstrap carousel, even if you would lose the characteristics of the carousel.
I recommend developing the slide for you or look for one that suits your needs eg cycle2 or something more robust.
