Error in Curl adapter used Solarium - Solr with php 7

I use Sorl in version 5.4, perfectly working Solr's own interface.

I installed Solarium to make application development easier. However, when testing the examples following the initial guidelines I get the following error:

Fatal error: Uncaught Solarium\Exception\HttpException: Solr HTTP
error: HTTP request failed, Connection timed out after 5001 milliseconds in solarium/library/Solarium/Core/Client/Adapter/Curl.php:195 Stack trace: #0

I have installed php7, libcurl, php-curl (php70w-common) as per instructions found in Webtatic .

Has anyone ever had this problem?

Thank you!
