Post URL duplication adds numeric value

I thought that belonging to different categories, these posts, of nomenclature of url equal, would be treated as distinct.

Categories:

  • Home
  • Hotel

Posts:

  • street to
  • street to
  

URL generated:

  • www.meu.com.br/casa/rua-a
  • www.meu.com.br/hotel/rua-a-2

I'd like to know how to resolve this, as I imagine this affects > SEO

Wordpress does not assume the category as a unique key of a post (as it uses the slug [or the house-a]). So, even if of different categories, it will continue to do so.

You can solve this by creating custom post-types, so yes they behave differently, just as a post and a page can have the same slug.
