How to resolve pull request with deleted repository?

After a pull request has been made, the linked branch is removed and the unknown repository message is displayed.

Is there any way to re-link this pull request to a new branch, or is the only way to redo pull request ?

This is a widely discussed issue, in this issue on GitHub .

There is no alternative to address this issue. The important thing is not to delete branch while pull request is not approved.
