.htaccess file being rewritten in Wordpress

0

The site has for some time been presenting the error:

Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.

I checked with the hosting server and noticed that the version of PHP is incompatible with the version of wordpress installed. When trying to update PHP by typing a line in .htaccess it is always rewritten (deleting the typed line), the server in question is locaweb .

I also tried to "restore" the nav-menu file to see if it solved this% rewrite problem, but without success, I also noticed that when searching the site in .htaccess it shows the title of the site in Japanese / Chinese / Korean then I suspect it was a hacker attack because the google of the site was already on time without any updates.

What other methods can I try to restore the site? (requesting rollback to the server is out of the question, the service provider reported that it only keeps the backup for 7 days)
