Migration php 5.4 to 5.6

0

Personal I have a server with php 5.4 and needed to upgrade pro php 5.6 to run the cake 3. It turns out that the client has a system with pure php running on this old version and now is afraid to upgrade and stop existing things.

Does anyone know if the 5.4 pro 5.6 change is too drastic, how likely is it to stop what exists today?

Thank you in advance

You can keep the version of PHP 5.4 and the ap- plications will not have problems running in version 5.6. And vice versa.

the development environment can be PHP 5.4 or PH | P 5.6 and the production environment can be from PHP 5.3 to PHP version 5.6 clear except applications that use extinguished resources for newer or newer versions for older versions.

But you can also run two different versions of php on the same server if you prefer.
