How do I run IONIC 3 application in the IOS emulator?

For android it worked, then I tried to use the same standard for IOS and I could not.

1 - ionic cordova platform add ios

2 - ionic cordova run ios --emulator

Gave the BUILD SUCCEEDED but did not run in the emulator
