How can you view the source code of an iPhone application?

The only way would be if you have direct access to the source code, either because the author published it on some site like GitHub, Bitbucket, or some other kind of open source project hosting site (or private and you have an access key), or the author himself gave you access or sent you a copy of the project via the internet, Dropbox, etc.
Otherwise, there is no way to see the source code of an iPhone app. Even if you have the *.ipa, it's not enough to see the code as I don't know of any way (legal or illegal) to convert an .ipa to source code.
