This distribution is based on Debian and in its normal version comes with the GNOME 3 desktop environment and a fairly comprehensive set of tools and scripts for use in controlled environments / professional testing and auditing.
The lite version however, provides the XFCE desktop environment (which is much lighter and less resource demanding than GNOME and also makes a significant cut in the amount of pre-installed tools by default. Leaving us the possibility to install the packages we really need and adjust the overall system to our needs.
