A few months ago, I bought a refurbished Lenovo Thìnkpad T420s laptop from Neweeg.com. Very well built, a tank of a laptop. I paid $300 with 1yr warranty. It's a business laptop, new was like $1000. I installed a ssd and Linux Mint. It's the second Lenovo I've bought in 3 decades and I've had no problems with incompatibility with a linux distro. I have used linux on my pc's for decades.
