Over the last few years several companies have tried to bring out their own OS's like amazon, firefox, motorola, lenovo, ubuntu, etc..... But they have not been able to reach anything concrete, some because they fail to make the necessary alliances to finish their projects, others have launched them but have not been able to match in the least what android offers today, also another important issue is to migrate developers from other platforms which is an arduous task, and that largely depends on the survival of a new OS.
