For those not familiar with the TOTS of Ultimate Team in Fifa 19, we’re talking about that long-awaited moment when Ea Sports introduces unique and upgraded versions of some players from the major leagues who have performed the best during the year. Like James Maddison, midfielder for Leicester and the English national team, who was included in the Premier League TOTS with a special card with 88 of Overall.
How do you get TOTS? In the past, the company offered various ways to get them without having to buy packages. Among them is the series of SCR Upgrade, which make the player get several non-exchangeable cards among which you can find a TOTS card. A lot of users decide their year-round “investments” based on the end-of-season SCRs.
Last week, as Eurogamer reports, the 2019 TOTS promo (including the Premier League) started, but still no Update SCRs. And the promotion is about to end. This has literally infuriated fans, especially on Monday, when EA Sports introduced new SCRs, but they only give as prizes kits (i.e. shirts).
Among the controversy stands out that of MattHDGamer, the youtuber who specializes in Fifa 19, who said in a video, “I’m not going to lie to you, the shirts are nice, but it certainly wasn’t what we expected.” Even streamer Castro ended a live broadcast on Twitch with 15 thousand viewers after only 10 minutes, when he realized that the only thing he would find inside the game was the SCR of the kits.
