I don't think it's a good idea. By default it is meant to be used as root. If someone browsing the Internet attacks your machine and succeeds, they will have access to your entire system.

If you have a lot of knowledge of Linux and you are not worried about wasting time with minimal things, yes.
In my case I wanted to do it and it was a tremendous headache so I do not recommend it.
The system lacks a lot and it is not designed for everyday things but for something specific. So even the smallest and stupidest things will give you work.
I recommend you use another system for everyday things, either another Linux or Windows and leave Kali only for its purpose. Either through a virtual machine or just a Live if you just want to learn.
